Contemporary Aesthetics
Description: Contemporary Aesthetics encourages aesthetic inquiry on current interests, in particular constructive approaches to aesthetic issues that enrich and widen our aesthetic horizon, whether of subject matter or cultural traditions. Studies that are primarily historical or are critical studies of particular art works are not appropriate to the mission of this journal, nor are articles directed to intramural debates or exclusively to critiquing other philosophers' arguments. Description: Critical Review seeks to draw on all of the social sciences in examining the effects on human well-being--not just on material prosperity--of not only laissez-faire capitalism and the alternatives to it, but of all other conceivable forms of social life.
